About the Role:
As a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) at Maplewood Nursing and Rehab Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of food service to our residents. You will oversee the daily operations of our dietary department, including menu planning, food preparation, and food safety protocols. Your expertise will enable you to maintain a safe and sanitary environment, adhering to regulatory standards and company policies.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department, including menu planning, food preparation, and food safety protocols
Develop and implement dietary plans that meet the needs of our residents, including special diets and cultural preferences
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies, including HIPAA, OSHA, and FDA guidelines
Supervise and train dietary staff, including dietary aides, cooks, and dishwashers
Maintain accurate records of food inventory, purchases, and waste management
Develop and implement cost-effective menu plans that meet the nutritional needs of our residents
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure residents receive timely and effective nutrition therapy
Requirements:
Current CDM certification
Minimum 1 years of experience in dietary management or a related field
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in food service management or a related field preferred
