Travel CT Technologist
Job Description
Position: CT Scan Tech / Radiology
Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM, Friday – Sunday
Requirements: CT License and BLS required, must live 50 miles outside of Tucson, AZ
The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely, high-quality diagnostic CT imaging services to inpatient and outpatient patients under the direction of a Radiologist and in accordance with departmental protocols and established standards of care.
The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited AMA-approved radiologic technology program and is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The CT Technologist must also be licensed by the state as a general radiographer and possess the required CT licensure and current BLS certification.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and advanced diagnostic CT scanning procedures safely and efficiently.
Perform CT examinations of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, and extremities.
Assist with and perform CT-guided biopsy and drainage procedures as assigned.
Perform studies with and without contrast media while following appropriate safety protocols.
Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and apply that knowledge to patient positioning and image acquisition.
Demonstrate proficiency in the operation and processing functions of CT imaging systems.
Follow surgical and sterile procedures when required.
Ensure accurate patient identification, exam selection, positioning, and imaging protocols.
Work collaboratively with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the imaging process.
Follow departmental policies, protocols, radiation safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Provide timely diagnostic services while maintaining high standards of image quality.
Graduate of an accredited AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
ARRT registration required.
Current state license as a general radiographer.
Current CT license required.
Current BLS certification required.
Demonstrated proficiency in routine diagnostic CT procedures.
Strong knowledge of CT processing, cross-sectional anatomy, contrast studies, and sterile/surgical procedures.
