DESCRIPTION OF JOB SCOPEMaterials Forklift/Heavy Labor Worker is an employee in the production department. This role is member to our production team and isresponsible to perform manual labor and forklift usage needed to process with the highest standards of food quality. The employee is requiredto notify any issues regarding food safety and general safety awareness. Positions: Materials ForkliftDESCRIPTION OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:l. Adhere to all Classic Salads Food Safety and GMP Policies, including Basic Policies (TRN-0101, TRN-102, TRN-103. TRN-104. TRN-105.TRN-1061.2. Complete Classic Salads Standard Production Procedures3. Use proper lifting and folding boxes techniques4. Report all deficiencies to management.5. Work overtime and weekends and holidays if necessary.6. Move product and/or materials manually or using a forklift as required7. Report all injuries and incidents big or small8. Demostrate attention to detail9. Report any foreign objects while performing duties to immediate supervisor.10. Communicate with management and/or other employees11. Be concious to reduce material spoilage.12. Able to work in a cold wet environment 34-36 °ree;F13. Work/cross train in other areas14. Properly store materials (cover with plastic, put in proper container etc)15.Complete daily forkilift inspection16. Stack and lift boxes continuously as needed17. Keep work area clean18. Set up carton machines19.Certified by Classic Salads to drive a forklift20. Stay in assigned work area 21 Ability to operate a manual pallet jack22. Stack and Lift raw and finished product containers/boxes 10-50 lbs ocasionally23. Team lift garbage cans 10-70 lbs ocasionally 24. Lift empty pallets 45-85 Lbs ocasionally25. Sort and stack empty totes by color and size.26. Wrap and palletize finished product27. Mark cartons and label according to instructions28. Communicate with data entry employees and machine operators29. Follow directions regarding product mixes and recipes30. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, eye protection (goggles), faceshield, gloves, slip resistant shoes, wet/rain suit, apron etc.31. Be aware of sorroundings due to forklift traffic32. Operate Baller machine33.Use FIFO (first in first out) to keep apropriate material/product rotation.34. Assign all materials to order.35. Follow all OSHA requirements for lift trucks.EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience of work in a similar environment preferred. Able to work in a fast pace environment.Ability to work with fast changing priorities and keep up with workflow. Work in a team effort environment. Able to follow simple instructions.Forklift License.PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED OF THE EMPLOYEE TO PERFORM THE JOB CONSTANTLY FOR 8 OR MORE HOURSWALKING, STANDING, BENDING NECK, BENDING WAIST, SQUATTING, CLIMBING, TWISTING NECK, TWISTING WAIST, BOTH HANDS USE (SIMPLE GRASPING, POWER GRASPING, FINE MANIPULATION, PUSHING AND PULLING, REACHING BELOW AND ABOVE SHOULDER LEVEL)DAILY LIFTING AND CARRYING REQUIREMENTS FOR 8 OR MORE HOURS2 OZ -25 LBS 7 FEET HIGH, 20 FEET IN DISTANCE
