This contracted position is perfect for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) ready to make a difference within a collaborative school environment. The assignment runs from mid-August through late May, providing continuity for students and valuable experience for you.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Colorado SLP license and current Educator Certificate
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience in school-based SLP roles, specifically in early childhood settings, is highly desirable
- Capable of supervising an SLPA and fostering their growth
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Comfort with in-person service delivery; hybrid models considered if available in-person at least three days weekly
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services to a caseload of 50-55 early childhood students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Conduct assessments, track progress, and adapt interventions as necessary
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Supervise an SLPA to maintain high standards of care and professional growth
- Ensure all documentation meets district, state, and federal guidelines
