Job Description
The Optometric Technician plays a crucial role in supporting eye care professionals by conducting diagnostic tests, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment. This team-based position involves interaction with patients and doctors, contributing to excellent patient care and a collaborative workplace atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of diagnostic tests and accurately record results in electronic health records
- Obtain and document detailed ocular and medical histories from patients
- Assist doctors during eye exams and procedures to ensure efficiency and thoroughness
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinical equipment
- Provide excellent patient service, fostering a positive patient experience
- Collaborate effectively within a team-based work environment
