Job Description
Make a difference supporting K-8 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year in the Minneapolis area. This is an opportunity to work full-time (35 hours/week) with a diverse caseload of 35 students presenting a broad range of communication needs. You’ll collaborate with educators and support teams to develop and implement individualized therapy that fosters student growth and success across academic and social settings.
Required for this role is a Minnesota Department of Education SLP certificate—credentialed professionals ready to take the next step in their career are especially encouraged to apply. What You’ll Need:
- Valid Minnesota SLP licensure and DOE certification (required)
- Previous school-based SLP experience or strong graduate clinicals in school settings
- A commitment to serving K-8 students with a variety of disabilities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to tailor interventions for a range of speech, language, and communication needs
- Flexibility and problem-solving abilities when working with students and school staff
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver individualized speech and language therapy
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with teachers and families
- Track progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Support generalization of skills throughout the school community
- Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding communication strategies
