Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Tucson, Arizona, for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity will support students with moderate to severe autism across a range of grade levels, including K–2 and 6–12.
The ideal SLP will be comfortable working with students who have significant communication needs and will collaborate closely with educators, special education professionals, families, and related service providers to help students make meaningful progress.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students
- Develop and implement individualized speech-language goals
- Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations
- Participate in IEP development and meetings
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary school teams
- Recommend communication strategies, accommodations, and supports as appropriate
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with students with autism and significant communication needs preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students across a range of ages and abilities
Experience
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Experience supporting students with moderate to severe autism strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs, evaluations, and special education services is a plus
Education
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
