As a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis, you’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to deliver exceptional care and transformative interventions for students with diverse communication needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP or CFY considered)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Passion for supporting children with varying speech, language, and communication challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student goals
- Provide direct therapy services—individually or in small groups—in accordance with IEPs
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families
- Support and participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and patient-centered learning atmosphere
