Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) considered
- Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and ability to document progress effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to serving diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans as part of the IEP process
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to help students reach their goals
- Document therapy sessions, assessments, and progress according to district guidelines
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
- Offer training and resources to staff and families for supporting student growth
