Empower young learners and make a lasting difference in the lives of K-8 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive school environment near the Minneapolis–St. Paul–Gem Lake area. This hands-on opportunity is ideal for professionals excited to work on-site and develop meaningful connections with students and collaborative teams.

Your expertise will directly support a caseload of approximately 35 students with a variety of disabilities, ensuring each child receives the tailored, in-person support they deserve. Flexible interview scheduling helps accommodate your needs, and you will enjoy the consistency of a full-time schedule throughout the academic year.

Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota SLP DOE certification (required)
  • Experience (or strong interest) in working with K-8 students in school settings
  • Adaptability and a patient, student-centered approach in addressing a broad range of needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language services to students ages Kindergarten through 8th grade
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy plans for a thoughtfully managed caseload
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining open communication with staff and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings, supporting students’ academic and social success as an integral member of the educational team
