Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Texas SLP licensure is required
- Previous experience as a school-based SLP preferred (clinical fellows are not eligible)
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting student assessments and developing individualized therapy plans
- Strong collaboration skills for effective communication with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to timely credentialing documentation, including Texas fingerprinting clearance if not already completed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to student needs at Charlotte Anderson Elementary
- Develop, implement, and document individualized service plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with state and school guidelines
- Offer consultative support to educators and families to promote positive student outcomes
Role Details & Perks:
- Contract runs from September 1, 2026, through May 20, 2027
- Part-time schedule: 20 hours per week for optimal work-life balance
- Serve as the assigned SLP at a single elementary campus, allowing for deeper relationships with students and staff
- In-person interview required on August 14th to get to know the team and campus environment
