Step into an essential role supporting students’ communication success as a Speech Language Pathologist for a maternity leave coverage in a welcoming educational setting near Winnetka, IL. This full-time opportunity spans from September 4, 2026, through December 11, 2026, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week.

In this onsite-only assignment, you’ll engage directly with elementary and middle school students, addressing their diverse needs and helping set the foundation for lifelong learning.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Hold current and valid Illinois SLP license (required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Recent experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with fellow educators, families, and support staff
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Experience with IEP development and implementation strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language services to students in elementary and middle school settings
  • Perform evaluations, re-evaluations, and progress monitoring to assess student needs
  • Develop, implement, and modify Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to facilitate student success
  • Maintain accurate records and adherence to timelines for compliance and service delivery
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
