Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication development in an educational setting near Snohomish, WA. This school-based SLP position is perfect for those passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of children and young people through speech-language therapy. With a scheduled start date of August 12, 2026, and running through June 15, 2027, you’ll provide essential support on an 8-hour-per-week basis. The position offers flexibility and the ability to impact a diverse caseload across a range of school settings and student ages.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Active VA SLP license required
  • Clinical experience with pediatric populations, preferably in a school environment
  • Strong understanding of teletherapy and comfort integrating technology for remote services
  • Current or in-progress CCC or CFY qualifications (Certificate of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellowship Year)
  • Skills in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills for working with educators, families, and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students, adapting strategies to individual needs
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams
  • Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Offer consultation and support for teaching staff and families regarding student communication needs
  • Utilize teletherapy platforms as required to ensure service continuity
  • Stay current on best practices and legal requirements in school-based speech services
