Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Domestic + International Operations is responsible for controlling freight forwarding shipments into and out of the station across various modes of transportation based on customer requests. The primary focus is providing a high-level operations excellence and a quality customer service experience to all customers
Essential Functions:
o Tracking and tracing inbound/outbound shipments
o Inspecting outbound freight
o Communicating freight status and any problems to other stations and customers, and updating the system
o Provide customer service
o Ability to lift 50lbs
o Able and willing to work on-call rotations and overtime when needed
o Data entry of shipments into transportation management system
o Domestic air and ground routing + International Air Import/Export
o Load/unload trucks, forklift experience is a must or ability to be certified
o Assigning carriers and providing load tenders
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Must have experience using CargoWise 1 (CW1)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in operations or a related field is preferred but not required.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
