Hotel Madison & Shenandoah Valley Conference Center Facilities Manager

  1. Interpret Banquet Event Orders to ensure event details and staffing are clearly communicated and orchestrated.
  2. Develop timeline for the week of all events and functions regarding room set ups and cleaning.
  3. Set up/breakdown banquet meeting space per Banquet Event Order instructions including tables, linens, and all other event provisions.
  4. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of all banquet spaces and common areas in the Conference Center.
  5. Ensure proper storage of all equipment including tables, linens, chairs, dance floor, stage, décor
  6. Ensure proper cleaning of all equipment after the function is completed.
  7. Supervise and assist assigned banquet associates during events.
  8. Observe Health Department guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
  9. Quarterly banquet equipment inventory to include tables, linen, china, glassware, and silverware.
  10. Monthly walk through of Conference Center with detailed checklist.
  11. Provide input to enhance processes that heighten guest experience and improve financial results.
  12. Create an environment that’s engaging, where motivated people want to join, learn, and do their best and advance.
  13. Lead a diverse team by modeling the way, by empowering , and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle.
  14. Provide specific room set capacities for all meeting rooms based on the room set-up, and any other defined factors (a/v requirements, dance floor size, staging, etc.) based on actual room sets.
  15. Work with the on-site A/V company to ensure their a/v set is coordinated with the room set and event needs.
  16. Outsource any items (chairs, tables, china, glass, linen) through 3rd party vendors for either purchase or rent based on current inventory compared to event needs on a daily basis (with executive leadership approval).
  17. Assist the banquet operations team as needed with any changes, additions, or modifications to room sets and event service as time permits.
  18. Train all banquet team members to understand and implement room set-up/tear down as required by the banquet leadership team.
  19. Understand and follow all room diagrams as provided by the conference services and banquet leadership team. Provide feedback and address any concerns prior to or during the set-up to avoid any negative impact to the event.
  20. Expected workweek is 50 hours on average. Some weeks will be more, some less.



Meetings:

BEO Meetings on Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm.

Weekly meeting with Director of Catering and Events- TBD

Staff Meeting – Wednesday at 2 PM
