Painter / Drywall Full Time
Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Residential Painter / Drywall Technician to join our growing residential construction team. The ideal candidate is skilled in painting, drywall installation and finishing, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and can work independently as well as with a team. We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering professional results on every project.
Primary Responsibilities
· Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, caulking, masking, and priming.
· Apply paint using brushes and rollers with clean, professional finishes.
· Operate airless or HVLP paint sprayers (preferred but not required).
· Hang, repair, tape, mud, and finish drywall.
· Perform multiple coats of spackle and sanding to achieve paint-ready surfaces.
· Match textures and perform drywall repairs after plumbing, electrical, or remodeling work.
· Protect flooring, fixtures, cabinets, and finished surfaces during work.
· Maintain clean and organized job sites.
· Follow company safety procedures and OSHA best practices.
· Assist with other residential construction tasks when needed.
Required Qualifications
· Experience with residential painting using brushes and rollers.
· Experience with drywall installation, taping, mudding, spackling, sanding, and repairs.
· Own reliable transportation.
· Ability to lift 75 pounds and work on ladders.
· Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
· Dependable with a strong work ethic.
· Authorized to work in the United States.
Required Tools
· Professional paint brushes and roller frames.
· Extension poles, paint trays, buckets, and related painting equipment.
· Drywall knives (various sizes), taping knives, mud pan, hawk, sanding poles, sanding blocks/sponges.
· Drywall saw, utility knife, measuring tape, chalk line, and related hand tools.
· Cordless drill/driver and basic hand tools.
· Drop cloths and masking tools.
Preferred Equipment (Highly Desired)
The following equipment is not mandatory but is considered a significant advantage:
· Airless paint sprayer or experience operating one.
· Drywall stilts (adjustable drywall finishing stilts) and experience using them safely.
· Work lights and additional professional finishing equipment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
· Experience producing Level 4 and Level 5 drywall finishes is a strong plus.
· Own basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, work gloves, hearing protection, respirator/dust mask, hard hat (when required), and appropriate work boots.
· Knowledge of proper masking, dust containment, and surface protection techniques.
