Commercial Drywall - Project Assistant

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-bid jobsite visits.
• Learn to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination.
• Track submittals and material samples.
• Future training in On-Screen Takeoff (OST) to perform simple quantity takeoffs.

Qualifications

This is an entry-level position with a potential pathway to Project Manager.

The ideal candidate:

• Punctual (arrives before the job starts).
• Highly organized and detai-oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented.

Commercial, union contractor. Majority of projects are downtown office, hospital build-outs. Must have reliable transportation and able to navigate Chicago.
