About the Role:
The Parts Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of inventory management and parts distribution within an organization. This position is responsible for accurately processing orders, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely availability of parts. The Parts Clerk supports the overall supply chain by tracking parts usage, managing stock levels, and assisting in the procurement process. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to prevent stock discrepancies and to facilitate smooth workflow. Ultimately, the Parts Clerk contributes to minimizing downtime and supporting maintenance and production teams by ensuring the right parts are available when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, parts department, or inventory control
- CCC One Software knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with automotive, manufacturing, or industrial parts and terminology.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment safely.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts and materials accurately in the inventory system.
- Process parts orders by verifying requests, preparing invoices, and coordinating shipments.
- Post invoices daily as orders come in, and keep track of returns
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and data entry.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to track orders and resolve discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain the parts storage area to ensure easy access and safety compliance.
- Generate reports on inventory status, usage trends, and reorder needs to support procurement decisions.

The Parts Clerk uses organizational and communication skills daily to manage inventory records and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams effectively. Computer proficiency is essential for entering data accurately into inventory management systems and generating reports that inform purchasing decisions.
