Attorney Litigation (Professional Track)
Job Description
Direct Counsel is seeking an Attorney to join a nationally recognized AmLaw 100 law firm’s growing Proposition 65 practice, which is part of its highly regarded Product Liability, Mass Torts & Class Actions group. This is a non-partnership-track position offering the opportunity to work on sophisticated litigation and regulatory matters with a nationally recognized team. The position is open to candidates in any U.S. office, with a hybrid work arrangement.
ResponsibilitiesHandle complex litigation matters involving Proposition 65, consumer litigation, product liability, and related regulatory issues.
Conduct legal research and analysis and prepare high-quality written work product.
Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents.
Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, business professionals, and external audiences.
Manage multiple matters and competing priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of work.
Collaborate with attorneys and professionals across the firm on sophisticated, high-impact matters.
Maintain client confidentiality and comply with firm policies and professional obligations.
J.D. from an accredited law school.
California Bar admission required, as well as admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate resides, if outside California.
At least 3 years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm or comparable law firm.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
Proposition 65
Consumer class action defense
Consumer product regulatory counseling
Complex commercial litigation
Consumer litigation defense
California state court litigation
Federal clerkship experience
The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000–$250,000, depending on experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
