Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that materials are cut accurately and efficiently to meet the specifications required for our products. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

• Interpreting Orders: Accurately reading and understanding work orders and diagrams to determine cutting specifications.
• Cutting Rugs: Using hand tools like knives, shears, and specialized cutters to precisely cut rugs to the required dimensions and shapes.
• Handling Materials: Safely lifting, carrying, and maneuvering heavy rugs with assistance.
• Working Conditions: May require working on hands and knees for extended periods and/or climbing onto and off of cutting tables.
• Quality Control: Inspecting finished cuts for accuracy and quality.
• Maintaining a Clean Workspace: Keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Teamwork: Collaborating with other cutters and team members to ensure efficient production.
• Other Duties: Performing other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Attention to Detail: Precision and accuracy are essential for cutting rugs to exact specifications.
• Physical Stamina: The job requires being on your feet/knees for extended periods and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Manual Dexterity: The ability to use hand tools and operate cutting equipment effectively.
• Problem-Solving: The ability to identify and resolve issues related to cutting or material handling.
• Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with team members and supervisors.
• Experience: Industry-related experience (fabric, carpet, manufacturing) is preferred.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Strong physical stamina, the ability to work on hands and knees, and the ability to lift heavy rugs are required.
