School Maintenance Position

Christ the King Catholic School, on the northside of Indianapolis, is looking to hire a daytime school maintenance employee. The school maintenance employee is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role performs routine maintenance, minor repairs, and preventative upkeep of school buildings, grounds, and equipment.Key Responsibilities-Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting-Conduct routine inspections of buildings, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas-Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations-Set up and break down rooms for events, meetings, and school activities-Ensure compliance with safety regulations and school policies-Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs-Coordinate with administrators, teachers, and outside vendors as needed-Support cleaning and custodial duties when requiredQualifications-High school diploma or GED required-Prior maintenance, custodial, or facilities experience preferred-Basic knowledge of building systems and repair techniques-Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail-Ability to work independently and as part of a team-Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks-Valid driver's licensePreferred Skills-Experience in a school or institutional setting-HVAC, electrical, or plumbing knowledge-Familiarity with safety standards and OSHA guidelines-Good communication and time-management skillsEqual Opportunity EmployerChrist the King is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
