Way Engineering is a leading mechanical and plumbing contractor specializing in commercial air conditioning, plumbing, piping, service, and the maintenance of mechanical systems. We are currently seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our Houston, Texas team!

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install PVC, cast iron, copper, screw pipe, and gas pipe and fittings using couplings, ProPress, grooved connections, fusion, clamps, bolts, screws, plastic solvent, soldering, and brazing.
  • Install piping systems including domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, storm, natural gas, acid waste, and condensate systems.
  • Perform underground plumbing installations.
  • Install piping systems according to contract drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and project details.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area while following all company, jobsite, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Perform plumbing prefabrication and material takeoffs.
  • Lead, mentor, and train plumbing apprentices.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of commercial plumbing project experience.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Ability to stand, lift, assemble, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work safely at various heights.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Required tools of the trade.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
