📋 Assignment DetailsPosition: Travel RN – CVOR Surgical
Department: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Schedule: Full-Time
Employment Type: Travel Contract
As a CVOR Surgical RN, you’ll be an essential member of the cardiovascular operating room team, helping ensure safe, efficient, and exceptional patient care throughout the surgical experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide specialized perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and surgical patients
Prepare patients for cardiovascular surgical procedures
Assist with OR preparation, equipment, supplies, and surgical instrumentation
Maintain strict sterile technique and infection-prevention standards
Collaborate closely with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and other members of the surgical team
Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in clinical condition
Support patient positioning, surgical preparation, and intraoperative safety
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to surgical protocols
Promote a safe and efficient operating room environment
Participate in preoperative and postoperative care as required
Active RN license in the applicable state
Current BLS, Acls certification
Recent CVOR/OR nursing experience
Cardiovascular and/or open-heart surgical experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique
Excellent clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in a high-acuity surgical environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast-paced travel assignment
Commitment to the full 13-week contract
