Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide personal care and assistance to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate must be reliable, patient-focused, and skilled in safely using mobility equipment such as a Hoyer lift. This position requires professionalism, dedication, and the ability to support clients with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene assistance.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including the safe use of a Hoyer lift and other durable medical equipment.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, changes in condition, and report concerns promptly to the supervising nurse.
  • Assist with feeding, including meal preparation, G-tube feeding (if trained/assigned), and ensuring proper nutrition.
  • Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as walking, positioning, and range of motion exercises.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including light housekeeping related to client care.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families.
  • Document care provided accurately and in compliance with agency policy and state/federal regulations.
  • Follow all HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in North Carolina.
  • Previous experience in home care, long-term care, or hospital setting preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate a Hoyer lift and other mobility devices.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to delivering consistent, high-quality care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow care plans and work under the supervision of an RN.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for the assignment).

Physical & Working Conditions

  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and transferring clients (with assistive devices when needed).
  • Work performed in client homes, which may vary in environment and conditions.
  • Shifts may include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays depending on client needs.
