AWS D1.1/WABO Certified Steel Fabricator -- GMAW/FCAW

Is This You?

• Do you thrive on print-driven, non-production work where every build is different?
• Can you read isometric drawings and welding symbols and turn them into rock-solid assemblies?
• Are you confident running GMAW and FCAW on structural steel, plate, and pipe?

What You’ll Tackle

• Fabricate and fit structural and miscellaneous steel: beams, columns, stairs, platforms, and piping systems
• Measure, cut, prep, and assemble materials to exact specifications
• Interpret blueprints, isometrics, and WPS to plan sequences and verify weld requirements
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely for staging and moves
• Team up with skilled fabricators to deliver custom industrial and commercial builds

Must-Haves

• 4+ years of welding and/or fitting experience in a fabrication shop
• Proficiency with blueprints, weld symbols, and WPS
• MIG (GMAW) and/or Flux Core (FCAW) experience on structural steel, plate, and pipe
• D1.1 and WABO GMAW or FCAW certification, minimum 2G position
• Meticulous workmanship and clean weld quality

Nice-to-Haves

• Structural steel background
• Pipe welding or mechanical fabrication
• Experience executing custom or complex builds
• Forklift and overhead crane experience
