Reginal Logistics Accounting/$65000 yearly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the development and implementation of an aggressive service strategy and cost control plan of the business for entire operations

· Coordinates with other company resources, developing the strategic and tactical direction for all locations, establish management processes and metrics for performance and be accountable for financial performance of the logistics business.

· Build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability through both Brokerage and Logistics.

· P&L Management

· Carrier Billing/Invoicing Process (Check and Balance)

· Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)

· Develop and execute business plan strategies for operations

· Develop & manage KPIs for logistics

· Food Sector experience (Perishables, Frozen, and Dry) Time Sensitive

· Fleet/Carrier Management (50-100), Route Management, Owner Operators, Contract Carriers, etc.

· Performing special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by General Manager and other senior management for operations.

· Work within company policy as outlined in the companies Code of Safe Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and OSHA Safety rules

· Perform other duties as assigned in both Logistics and brokerage

· Strong leadership abilities in proven logistic field

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to work as a cross-functional team member.

· Computer proficiency, including Planner, Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio

· Sense of urgency in order to deliver consistent service to the customer

Education and/or Experience:

· 5+ years progressive responsibility managing logistics Management and Development

· BA Preferred or equivalent years of experience

· Freight Calculator

Computer Skills:

· Strong computer skills required; with knowledge in MS Office, Excel and WMS system literacy

Reasoning Ability:

· Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce.
