Castro County Nursing & Rehab is seeking a compassionate and skilled Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA looking for flexible scheduling while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide quality physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents’ strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, transfers, gait training, and functional activities.
• Monitor and document resident progress and response to treatment.
• Communicate effectively with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
• Skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
