Job Description
We are hiring a Diet Technician to join our dynamic care team at Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in North Easton!
Full-time, 6a-2p schedule with weekly pay at $17 an hour.
As a Diet Tech, you provide nutritional guidance in terms of resident needs, preferences, and individual dietary modifications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify residents' dietary needs and preferences.
Assist residents with selective menu process.
Update meal tickets based on preference, menu selections, and diet/supplement orders.
Must be able to provide point-of-service meal delivery.
Other duties assigned as necessary.
Specific Requirements:
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
Must be able to communicate effectively with appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations.
