Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Description
Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich is hiring per diem COTAs to join our therapy team!
Weekly pay up to $40 an hour.
As a COTA, you assist in the provision of collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist and participate in clinical program development.
Education & Experience:
As a minimum, an associate degree in occupational therapy assistant from an accredited program.
Must possess a COTA license in Massachusetts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as assigned by Rehab Program Manager.
Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venue includes individual, supervised, and group.
Contributes to the team meeting and decision making process as defined by the program.
Consults with and trains patients, residents and caregivers.
Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.
Documents activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
Participates in clinical program development and implementation.
May perform additional duties as requested by supervisor.
Participates in quality improvement activities.
Responsible for service and operational excellence of all assigned activities to ensure the delivery of quality services and/or outcomes required to meet or exceed the expectations of those utilizing or impacted by the department.
