Special Education Teacher - Hilton Head Island, SC

This contract role offers the chance to work onsite with a diverse team of educators, supporting students across three locations and grade levels. Successful candidates will bring their expertise to one of three open positions: providing intensive support at the elementary level or offering supplemental resource services at the high school or middle school level. You’ll join a supportive, collaborative environment focused on personalized learning and student growth.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (South Carolina or eligible for reciprocity)
• Experience working with students in either intensive support or resource settings
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
• Passion for helping students with diverse needs achieve meaningful progress

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver individualized instruction and interventions within assigned setting (elementary intensive support, or supplemental/resource at middle or high school)
• Develop, execute, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families to ensure cohesive support
• Track student progress and maintain detailed records
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate

This is a full-time, onsite opportunity (37.5 hours per week), running from August 3, 2026 to May 28, 2027. You’ll experience a dynamic school community and build lasting relationships with students and colleagues.
