Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity to make a difference as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an engaging elementary school environment. This role focuses on supporting students in TK–5th grade, including those in speech therapy programs, Resource Specialist Program (RSP) with speech needs, and Special Day Class (SDC) settings. Collaborate with an experienced SLP already on-site, as you help address a growing need and ensure a positive, communicative educational experience for every student.
Your expertise will help shape young lives, providing individualized and group speech-language therapy, contributing to IEP meetings, and collaborating closely with teachers, staff, and families. This position commences as soon as possible and extends through December 18, 2026, offering you the chance to see your impact unfold over multiple school years.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly with SDC populations, strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with a range of speech and language disorders affecting elementary-aged children.
- Exceptional communication and organization skills.
- Ability to create inclusive, engaging, and supportive therapy sessions.
- Adept at documenting progress and maintaining compliance with relevant policies.
- Enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork in a diverse educational community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services to students in TK–5th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in coordination with IEP goals.
- Serve students in speech, RSP with speech, and SDC classrooms.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute relevant expertise to educational teams.
- Consult and communicate with families regarding students’ progress.
