Job Description
Make a direct impact supporting students as a Physical Therapist on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule of 1-2 days per week, totaling 10-12 hours, working with a caseload that will be determined upon placement. If you have previous experience in school settings and are skilled in providing PT services to young learners, this position is an excellent fit.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt to different caseload sizes and needs
- Reliable, organized, and committed to supporting student development
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Document sessions and maintain accurate records per school and district requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and modifications to help students access their educational environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to progress reports
