Job Description
Step into an impactful role supporting elementary-aged students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Based near Holyoke, MA, this full-time, contract opportunity begins on August 26, 2026, and continues through June 15, 2027. You’ll collaborate in an elementary classroom dedicated to ABA/Autism-based programs, providing essential guidance and individualized instruction to help students achieve their learning goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience or strong interest in ABA/Autism educational programs at the elementary level
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to develop and implement differentiated instructional plans to meet diverse learner needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction to students with varying abilities in ABA/Autism-based settings
- Create and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) to address each student’s strengths and areas for growth
- Work closely with classroom staff to implement behavioral and educational interventions
- Offer continuous progress monitoring and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Serve as a resource and advocate for your students, building positive relationships with families and specialists
