Take your passion for supporting student growth to the next level by providing specialized speech-language services to elementary and middle school students for the upcoming school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with K-8 students, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve their academic potential—all while enjoying a manageable, focused schedule of just one day each week.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech and Communication Disorders required
  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in Minnesota
  • PELSB (Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board) certification necessary
  • Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with elementary and middle school-aged children, is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students’ speech, language, and communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to create and implement effective individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver engaging therapy sessions and track progress toward individualized goals
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation for evaluations, therapy plans, and student outcomes
  • Offer consultative support and resources to classroom educators to enhance students’ communication environments
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant school team activities as needed

This assignment runs from September 8, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with a commitment of 5 hours per week on one day, allowing for impactful engagement with students while maintaining exceptional work-life balance.
