Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students as a contract special education teacher working with grades 9-12 in a dynamic school environment near Evansville, WI. You’ll manage a cross-categorical caseload of 10-12 students, applying your expertise and compassion to help learners of varying abilities reach their goals.

Key Requirements:

  • Valid Wisconsin Special Education (SPED) licensure (required)
  • Experience supporting high school students (grades 9-12) preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of disabilities and learning needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to fit each student’s unique needs
  • Monitor student progress, track documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service professionals, and families
  • Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Manage compliance with state and federal regulations in all aspects of special education
