Job Description

Make a lasting impact supporting the success of neurodiverse learners in a mission-driven environment dedicated to research-based excellence. ExcelPrep’s innovative private program blends rigorous academic instruction with clinical ABA, precision teaching, and a whole-child approach—including prioritized occupational therapy—for children ages 3–13. We seek a Behavior Specialist passionate about evidence-based practice and committed to nurturing the academic and social growth of students.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including teachers, OTs, speech-language pathologists, and families—to deliver targeted interventions that foster independence and meaningful progress.

What you’ll bring:

  • BCBA or BCaBA certification (or eligibility to test soon), or equivalent clinical ABA expertise with plans to obtain credential.
  • 2–3+ years’ clinical experience in educational or clinical settings supporting neurodiverse children (ages 3–13).
  • Deep working knowledge of ABA, functional assessment, and behavior intervention planning.
  • Familiarity with Direct Instruction and Precision Teaching frameworks (preferred).
  • Proven skill in collaborative problem solving, team communication, and family engagement.
  • Understanding of sensory processing and integration of occupational therapy principles in behavior planning.
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages) valued and encouraged.

Your primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct FBAs and craft individualized BIPs aligned with ExcelPrep’s data-driven, direct instruction model.
  • Implement and optimize ABA interventions—focusing on language, reasoning, executive functioning, and social skills.
  • Monitor and analyze data (using Precision Teaching, mastery criteria, probe data) to guide interventions.
  • Collaborate with educators and therapists for holistic, integrated student support.
  • Deliver onsite therapy sessions; supervise and coach RBTs/BCaBAs.
  • Lead parent trainings, team meetings, and regular progress updates.
  • Ensure ethical standards, privacy, and adherence to program design.
  • Stay current with behavior science research and best practices.

Imagine empowering exceptional students to succeed—academically and beyond—in a supportive, innovative setting. Apply now to be part of something truly purposeful!

Compensation for this position ranges from $48.12 to $68.12. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
