We are looking for a Community Support Specialist to help manage daily administrative operations for a residential housing portfolio in Barnegat, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position focuses on supporting lease renewals, resident recertifications, rent payment administration, and responsive resident service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing documentation, communication, and account-related tasks in a property management environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the lease renewal process by preparing resident notices, monitoring responses, and coordinating timely follow-up actions.
• Support recertification activities by gathering required information, reviewing documentation, and helping ensure compliance with established housing guidelines.
• Update and maintain resident records across digital and physical filing systems to keep information accurate, complete, and easy to access.
• Process rent payment information, record transactions accurately, and help maintain reliable account documentation.
• Respond to resident questions related to billing, payment methods, and account status with professionalism and clarity.
• Partner with property management staff to address past-due balances and distribute required notices when needed.
• Provide courteous day-to-day support to residents by handling calls, emails, and other inquiries in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with leasing and site teams to promote a smooth resident experience and consistent administrative support.• 1-3 years of experience in property management, leasing support, administrative coordination, or a related housing environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize records, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach to resident interactions.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data entry, email correspondence, inbound and outbound calls, and appointment scheduling.
• Familiarity with property management platforms such as Yardi or AppFolio is preferred.
• Knowledge of affordable housing requirements, recertification processes, or fair housing practices is a plus.
