Desired Qualifications:
- Active Alabama Special Education (AL SPED) certification is required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively with students in 2nd and 3rd grades
- Familiarity with Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) practices
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to 2nd and 3rd-grade students with diverse learning needs
- Manage a caseload primarily consisting of students with an 01 LRE, and support four students assigned to an 03 LRE
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and needs
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to ensure inclusive and effective learning environments
- Communicate progress with families and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
In this role, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week, five days per week, and enjoy a highly competitive pay rate between $35 and $40 per hour, paid on a weekly basis.
