Special Education Teacher in Pawtucket, RI

In this contract role, you will deliver individualized educational services in three 1-hour sessions each week, working closely with a student who requires extra care due to being immunocompromised. Desired Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teaching Certification
• Demonstrated experience working within special education in school environments
• Strong ability to create and implement IEPs tailored to individual needs
• Effective communication with students, families, and support staff
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching
• Full COVID-19 vaccination required due to the specific health needs of the student

Responsibilities:

• Conduct three individualized, 1-hour instructional sessions per week
• Adapt curricula and lessons to meet student’s unique educational requirements
• Monitor progress and document results in accordance with program goals
• Collaborate with parents, administrators, and related service personnel to ensure continuity of support
• Maintain a respectful, engaging, and safe learning environment
• Support social and emotional development in addition to academic growth
