Qualifications:

  • Valid AL SPED certification required
  • Previous experience with elementary age special education students preferred
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Ability to create inclusive, engaging learning environments

Responsibilities:

  • Support and educate a caseload of 2nd and 3rd grade students, primarily within a general education LRE (01), with some students in LRE 03 environments
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed
  • Foster a supportive, encouraging atmosphere for learners of all abilities
  • Engage with families to promote student growth and achievement
