Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) – Dixon, CA

Seeking a new opportunity within a school district? Spindle proudly collaborates with an outstanding school district in Dixon, CA in search of a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team for the 2026–2027 school year!

Position Details:

  • Discipline: Special Education (Mild/Moderate)
  • Dates: ASAP – June 3, 2027
  • Schedule: Full-Time
  • Caseload: Special Day Class (SDC) Special Education; additional caseload details are currently being finalized

Special Education Teacher Job Description:

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities in an SDC setting
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Create differentiated lessons and instructional strategies based on individual student needs
  • Support students through accommodations, modifications, and individualized interventions
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with special education requirements

Pay & Benefits:

Requirements:

  • Active California Mild/Moderate Special Education Credential (required)
  • Must provide a screenshot of active California CTC credential at the time of submission

Interview Process:

  • 10–15 minute screening call with a Spindle recruiter
  • 20–30 minute virtual interview with the district
