Qualifications:

• Valid New Mexico Special Education Teacher licensure (NMSPED)
• Experience or strong interest in working with elementary students (PreK-5th grade)
• Solid understanding of differentiated instructional strategies, IEP development, and behavioral interventions
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized and group lesson plans based on student needs
• Deliver both inclusion support in general education settings and focused pullout sessions for small groups
• Develop, maintain, and track progress toward IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social/emotional support using research-based practices
• Communicate regularly with parents, staff members, and administrators to ensure continuity of care and services
• Maintain organized records, document interventions, and uphold district and regulatory requirements
