Special Education Teacher - Cambridge, MA

Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students at an elementary level for a full-time contracted Special Education teaching assignment. This role offers the chance to cover a maternity leave position, positively impacting young learners in a collaborative setting. Beginning as soon as possible and extending through December 23rd, you'll work with a supportive staff to help students thrive academically and socially.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
• Adaptability and patience in a dynamic learning environment
• Ability to tailor instruction to meet diverse behavioral and academic needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized lessons for students with a range of learning differences
• Implement and monitor IEP goals in partnership with related service providers
• Collect and report progress data, modifying interventions as needed
• Provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Maintain regular communication with parents and classroom teachers
• Participate in meetings, planning sessions, and professional development as required
