Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in grades 2 and 5 in the Derry, NH area from August 2026 to June 2027. This full-time opportunity spans two nearby school locations and offers a meaningful chance to make a significant impact in the lives of young learners. You’ll collaborate with fellow educators and focus on individualized teaching and case management for approximately 15 students.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in elementary school settings (grades 2 and/or 5)
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and advocacy skills
- Ability to work effectively across two school campuses
- Collaborative spirit to partner with fellow teachers, support staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students on your caseload, ensuring access to curriculum and personalized learning strategies
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Manage case documentation and progress reports for approximately 15 students
- Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Adapt resources and instructional plans to meet diverse learning needs
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
