School Psychologist in New Britain, CT

Embark on a rewarding contract position as a School Psychologist, serving a vibrant high school community near New Britain, CT. This full-time, onsite opportunity spans 35 hours weekly, from August 24, 2026, through May 2027, with the potential to extend through the full academic year. You'll play a crucial role in supporting high school students’ educational and emotional needs while collaborating with dedicated educators and staff.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active licensure and certification as a School Psychologist in Connecticut
• Prior experience working in a school-based setting, preferably at the high school level
• Strong skills in evaluation administration and proficiency in preparing and presenting PPT (Planning and Placement Team) reports
• Ability to work onsite, fostering relationships with students and colleagues
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for high school students
• Prepare and present findings during PPT meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop student-centered plans
• Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ academic and emotional growth
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress and interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in school psychology
