As a contract Occupational Therapist, you’ll work alongside dedicated educators and specialists to help students achieve their goals and reach their fullest potential within the academic setting.

We are looking for a skilled Occupational Therapist who thrives in a school-based environment. You’ll be instrumental in developing and implementing interventions that support students’ physical, cognitive, and sensory needs—directly impacting their ability to learn and participate.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active OT license for Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience working in schools and collaborating on IEP teams strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, families, and staff
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage caseload and documentation
  • Compassion, patience, and adaptability when working with diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluate students to determine OT needs within the school setting
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services to students
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation per district and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
