Job Description
Embark on a fulfilling contract role as a school-based Occupational Therapist supporting students in specialized educational settings near Anoka, MN. Multiple positions are available, each with unique assignment structures designed to match a variety of professional preferences and availability. Make a meaningful impact on students who benefit from Setting IV special education services while collaborating with dedicated educational teams.
Available Opportunities:
- 1 Position: Leave of Absence, August 31 – approximately November 13, 32 hours/week over 4 days at North Education Center, supporting students in Setting IV special education.
- 2nd Position: Leave of Absence, September 21 – January 4 (excluding winter break), 40 hours/week across 5 days at South Education Center.
- 3rd Position: Full school year, 20 hours/week between two locations, supporting students from a range of special education settings.
- 4th Position: Pending full-time opportunity, awaiting district confirmation.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience delivering services in a school-based setting.
- Capacity to work within the academic calendar and assignment duration.
- Successful completion of agency onboarding and district background check required.
- Reliable transportation necessary for roles supporting multiple or split locations.
- Proven professionalism and positive standing required, especially for those previously credentialed.
- Ability to specify which position(s) you wish to be considered for (priority given to positions 1–3).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy to students receiving special education services.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support students’ functional performance and learning.
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in multidisciplinary team processes.
- Adapt intervention plans in accordance with students’ IEPs and individual goals.
