Step into a dynamic and rewarding contract opportunity providing physical therapy services to elementary-aged students. This full-time role is dedicated to supporting children in kindergarten through 5th grade, helping each student achieve their physical development goals within a nurturing school environment.

Utilizing your expertise in pediatric and school-based physical therapy, you will deliver both individual and small group sessions. Your day-to-day work will be varied and impactful, focusing on designing and implementing treatment plans, collaborating with educators, and keeping families informed about each student’s progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in New York State
  • Previous experience with pediatric populations preferred
  • Understanding of the unique needs of school-based therapy settings
  • Ability to develop IEP goals and document student progress effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organization and time management capabilities to handle a full caseload

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students referred for physical therapy services
  • Develop and implement individualized and group treatment sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support each student’s success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing effective plans for students
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Educate staff and families on mobility, adaptive equipment, and therapy techniques as needed
