Job Description
Step into a rewarding role as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant supporting elementary-aged students through a maternity leave coverage from mid-October to early February. In this contract position, you'll have the chance to make a difference in a vibrant elementary school setting (TK-5), helping students develop their speech and language skills and empowering them to reach their potential.
You’ll collaborate closely with an experienced and welcoming supervising SLP through Voco, ensuring you have guidance and support at every step. As a vital resource for students, teachers, and families, your compassionate approach and technical knowledge will be valued and appreciated.
What you'll bring:
- At least 3 months of experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in a school setting
- Current, active California SLPA license
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for working with early learners (Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, though not required
Your key responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of speech-language interventions and activities under SLP supervision
- Contribute to student progress by implementing therapy plans and documenting outcomes
- Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP to align on student needs and best practices
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to reinforce communication goals
- Encourage and motivate students throughout their therapy sessions
