Job Description

This contract opportunity offers a rewarding experience serving elementary-aged students at a primary campus, with the possibility of assisting at a secondary location with a minimal caseload. The position starts as soon as possible and continues through June 4th, 2027, ensuring long-term professional engagement.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid and active SC Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
- Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Skill in adapting therapy to support diverse learning needs
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with special education staff, teachers, and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, primarily at the elementary level
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans to meet IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success and facilitate classroom participation
- Complete timely and thorough evaluations, documentation, and required reports
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute clinical expertise to educational planning
- Support students’ fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation skills
- Adjust services as needed for a smaller caseload at a secondary site
